Founder. Former Trust & Safety and data quality specialist at Kuaishou Technology.
LinkedIn profileI'm Ishtiaq Turi. I built this site to do one job well: take a Kuaishou or Kwai share link and give you the video file, with clear instructions for whatever device you are using.
Who we are
"We" on this site is three people, and it is worth being precise about what that means. There is no office and no company. I write every guide, build the tool and answer the email. Two colleagues cover the parts I should not be the only person checking: Amir Khan reviews the pages about copyright, privacy and what the tool refuses to do, and Adeel Ashraf re-tests downloads across devices and link formats. That is the whole operation, and I would rather describe it plainly than imply a staff that does not exist.
All three of us worked at Kuaishou Technology or on its apps before this. That shared background is the honest reason the guides here can explain why a download behaves the way it does, instead of guessing at it. None of us uses internal or non-public access, and the site is not affiliated with the company.
The team page says who does what, and each of us has a page: Ishtiaq Turi, Amir Khan and Adeel Ashraf. If something on the site is wrong, it is still my responsibility, and I am the person who fixes it.
Our story
Before starting this project, I worked at Kuaishou Technology in Trust & Safety and data quality roles. That work involved content policy, how videos are reviewed and labelled, and the data behind them. It did not involve building download tools, and I do not use any internal or non-public access here. What it gave me is a practical understanding of how public videos, share links, privacy settings and regional restrictions work on the platform. That is why the guides on this site can explain why a download fails, not just repeat "try again".
The project started with me testing the Kuaishou downloaders that already rank for these searches, to see which one I could recommend to someone. Several of them did not do what they said. One offered a "4K" option that downloaded exactly the same file as its 720p option, because the quality setting only changed the filename. Another labelled its audio files as MP3 when they were really M4A, and promised that videos never touched its servers while it was proxying every download. The guides had the same problem: the same article, rewritten in a circle, with steps nobody had followed on a real phone.
So I built this instead. The tool tells you the resolution and file size it actually found, and the guides are written from my own devices with real links. That is the whole idea. It is a smaller promise than the sites I was comparing against, and it is one I can keep.
What we do
The downloader runs in your browser. You paste a public Kuaishou or Kwai share link, and the server opens that public video page the same way a logged-out visitor would, finds the video file the page plays, and gives you a download link. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
What you get back is the file the platform stores for that post, not an upscaled copy:
- An MP4 in H.264, which every phone, computer and editor plays. The Kuaishou posts I have tested were 720p (720 x 1280). Some Kwai videos came out smaller, at 576 x 1024.
- Sometimes a second, smaller H.265 encode of the same Kuaishou video, when the platform has one. It is listed with its real size so you can choose.
- An M4A audio file for Kuaishou posts that carry a separate soundtrack. Kwai does not expose one, so there is no audio button for Kwai links.
- The cover image, when the post provides it.
Alongside the tool there are guides for each device, covering Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac, and a troubleshooting page that maps each error the tool can show to a cause and a fix. I test the steps myself before they go live.
There are things the tool deliberately does not do:
- It does not reach private, followers-only or region-locked videos. If you cannot see a video while logged out, neither can the tool.
- It does not log in to any account, yours or anyone else's, and it never asks you for Kuaishou credentials.
- It does not keep copies of the videos. Files stream through the server and are not stored. The privacy policy explains exactly what data is involved.
- It does not offer 1080p or 4K buttons when the platform has no such file, and it does not upscale anything.
- It does not yet handle photo slideshows, live replays or Snack Video links.
How the guides are written and tested
- I write each guide myself and test every step on real Kuaishou and Kwai links, on Android, iPhone and desktop browsers.
- Each guide shows the date it was last checked. When the apps change their menus, I update the steps.
- Platform facts, such as company history, are kept to things that can be checked in public sources, and the sources are linked.
- Every claim the site makes about the tool is checked against what the download service actually returns, and the copy is changed when the two disagree.
- If you spot a mistake, please tell me. Corrections are made quickly, and the update date changes.
The full standards I hold the content to are written down on the editorial guidelines page.
Why you can trust this site
Trust is not something I can claim with adjectives, so here are the specific things you can check for yourself:
- Every guide is tested on real links. The steps, menu names and file locations come from my own Android phone, iPhone and desktop browsers, not from another article.
- Every tool claim is checked against the backend. Resolutions, formats and file sizes on this site match what the download service returns. When a claim could not be supported, it was removed rather than softened.
- Platform facts are cited to public sources. Company history, link formats and app behaviour link out to where you can verify them.
- Dates are visible. Every guide and policy page shows when it was last checked, so you can judge how current it is.
- Corrections are welcomed and dated. Tell me something is wrong and I will fix it and move the date. I would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.
- No fake reviews or invented numbers. There are no star ratings, no user counts, no success rates and no testimonials anywhere on this site, because I have no honest way to measure them.
- Independence. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Kuaishou Technology, Kuaishou or Kwai. My previous employment there is history, not a relationship, and nothing here uses internal access.
If you want the detail behind all of this, the editorial guidelines set out how pages are written, sourced, tested and corrected, and the author page covers my background and what I am qualified to write about.
How the site is funded
The tool is free, and I currently pay for hosting myself. If the site starts showing ads to cover server costs, they will be clearly labelled, and the privacy policy will be updated before they go live. There are no paid plans, and there is no "premium" version.
What's next
Batch downloads and a browser extension are planned. Photo slideshow support depends on whether it can be done reliably. All of it appears on the site only once it works, and only described as what it really does.
