Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use kuaishouvideodownloader.net ("the site", "we"). It is written to match how the site actually works. If the way the site works changes, this page will be updated first.

Summary

• No accounts, so we never ask for your name, email or password to use the tool.
• The links you paste are sent to our download service, which runs on Cloudflare, so it can find the video.
• Request logging for the download service is turned off. Our providers still process basic connection data, such as IP addresses.
• We do not keep copies of the videos you download.
• Your download history is stored only in your browser.
• There are no advertising or analytics cookies on the site at the moment.

Data we process

Links you submit

When you press "Find video", the link you pasted is sent to our download service. The service uses it to open the public video page the way a logged-out visitor would and find the video file. It never logs in to Kuaishou or Kwai or uses an account. We have turned off request logging for the download service, so we do not keep a record of the links you look up, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

Technical logs

Vercel, which hosts the website, automatically records basic request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used for security and fixing errors, and are kept for Vercel's standard retention period.

Cloudflare runs the download service. It processes your IP address to deliver each request and to apply a short rate limit (about 10 lookups and 60 downloads a minute per IP address) that stops automated mass requests. We do not store these counts. Cloudflare may keep its own operational and security records under its own privacy policy.

Video files

To deliver a download, the file streams through the download service on its way to your browser. It is not saved, cached, catalogued or kept after the transfer ends. Each download button holds a signed link that stops working one hour after the lookup.

Download history

The "Recent on this device" list is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device, and we cannot see it. Use the "Clear" button or clear your browser data to delete it.

Contact form and email

If you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you send. The contact form is delivered through Web3Forms, a form-handling service. We use your details only to reply, and we delete messages that no longer need action within 12 months.

Cookies

The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your light or dark theme choice and your download history in local storage, which works like a cookie but is never sent to our server. If we add analytics or ads in the future, this section will list them, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.

Third parties

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Cloudflare runs the download service (Cloudflare Workers) that looks up videos and passes files to your browser.
• Web3Forms delivers contact form messages.
• Kuaishou and Kwai. Our download service requests video pages and files from their servers. If their image servers refuse our service, your browser loads the cover image from them directly instead. They may log these requests under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell or rent personal data.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. Since we do not run accounts, the main data we could hold is a contact message. Email contact@kuaishouvideodownloader.net and we will respond within 30 days.
